Lead the Future of Cardiovascular Care

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Service Line Director to drive the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of cardiovascular services across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role, directly shaping patient outcomes, clinical innovation, and the financial success of the service line.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the accountable leader for all cardiovascular service line performance.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan across acute, ambulatory, post-acute, and community care.

  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to enhance patient outcomes, efficiency, and satisfaction.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of new programs and innovations to improve quality and reduce cost of care.

  • Partner with quality teams to ensure regulatory compliance and achieve high reliability in care delivery.

  • Support recruitment and retention of clinical talent across cardiovascular services.

  • Manage and drive the financial performance of the service line.

  • Serve as a visible leader, inspiring continuous improvement in patient-centered care.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Current RN or Radiologic Technologist license (WV)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of clinical experience in cardiovascular services (Cath, Echo, Stress, etc.)

  • Previous Director-level leadership experience

  • Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and communication skills

  • Certifications: BLS (within 30 days) and ACLS (within 3 months)

Preferred:

  • Experience in developing cardiovascular programs

  • Proven ability to build and lead teams in a collaborative environment

Must-Have Qualifications:

The Director of Post-Surgical Services oversees the Post-Surgical and Neuroscience Units, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care. This leader is responsible for staff competency, resource management, and adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 24/7 oversight of nursing practice within assigned units

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, standards, and policies

  • Directs patient care delivery, staffing, and service level management

  • Manages hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of staff

  • Oversees budgetary compliance and financial efficiency of the nursing units

  • Ensures adherence to clinical protocols, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements

  • Leads quality improvement initiatives and optimizes patient experience

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Continuity:

    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, promoting a seamless experience for patients throughout their surgical care journey.

    • Serve as a resource for staff, facilitating problem-solving and supporting staff education.

    • Participate in Quality Improvement Activities to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Compliance and Standards:

  • Leadership and Education:

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of a Nursing Program with a Bachelor of Science degree or higher.

  • Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license and/or Compact State RN license.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.

  • A minimum of 2 years as a Director of Surgical Services in a critical care hospital.

Preferred:

  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).

  • Master’s degree in a related field.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Surgical Services or critical care hospital upper management.

  • Moderate Sedation Certification.
