What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a large multidisciplinary surgical team.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and psychological safety.

  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and staff satisfaction.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and succession planning.

  • Oversee scheduling, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure efficient and effective perioperative operations.

  • Optimize patient flow and department performance.

  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient outcomes.

  • Partner with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical leaders to improve service delivery.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.

  • Monitor productivity, operational costs, and resource utilization.

  • Evaluate equipment, technology, and supply needs.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts.

  • Ensure appropriate inventory management and equipment readiness.

Clinical Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Support evidence-based clinical practice initiatives.

  • Implement quality improvement programs and operational enhancements.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and patient safety metrics.

Required Qualifications

βœ” Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

βœ” Current Arizona Registered Nurse License

βœ” Minimum 5 years of Surgical Nursing experience

βœ” Minimum 1 year of leadership experience within a surgical or perioperative environment

βœ” Strong understanding of:

  • Perioperative operations

  • Surgical services leadership

  • Budget management

  • Regulatory compliance

  • Staff development

  • Patient safety initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Master's Degree in Nursing or related field

⭐ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

⭐ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

⭐ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

⭐ Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)

⭐ Experience leading large surgical departments with multiple service lines

Position Summary:

Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Shift: Day shift, 8 hours shift with rotating on-call

Must-Haves

RN- Associates required / BSN or higher preferred

Arizona Registered Nurse License or compact license required on hire.
