The Opportunity
A respected regional healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department in Lake Havasu City. This is an opportunity for a decisive and approachable RN leader to shape clinical excellence, strengthen operations and support a close-knit team serving both the local community and seasonal visitors.
The department manages a broad range of cases, including high-acuity trauma, environmental emergencies and seasonal demand surges. The successful leader will combine strong emergency nursing expertise with visible, supportive leadership and a commitment to a culture where colleagues step in for one another.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department.
• Lead staff relations, performance management, employee satisfaction and conflict resolution.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, recruitment, staff development and student engagement.
• Create an environment that supports professional growth, accountability and retention.
• Monitor departmental budgets, contracts, regulatory compliance and vendor relationships.
• Assess and justify equipment, systems and supply needs while monitoring usage, availability and working order.
• Integrate evidence-based practice into departmental operations and clinical protocols.
• Partner with physicians, nursing leadership and hospital stakeholders to improve patient care, safety, throughput and staff experience.
Required Qualifications
• Current Arizona RN license, or Compact RN license with authorization to practice in Arizona.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and Handle with Care certifications.
• Substantial Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Proven leadership experience within an Emergency Department.
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, communication and people-management skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualification
• Master's degree in nursing or another relevant field.
