Confirm that required blood counts, imaging and verification films are satisfactory and properly recorded.
Calculate surface, depth, cumulative and total radiation doses when required.
Assist the Radiation Physicist with patient measurements, contours and treatment-plan verification.
Maintain complete, accurate and confidential patient records.
Equipment and Department Support
Inspect equipment safety interlocks according to established procedures.
Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly.
Clean and maintain treatment equipment and clinical work areas.
Ensure treatment rooms remain appropriately stocked with required supplies.
Support appointment scheduling, filing and other related clinical or technical duties.
Participate in patient-care conferences, educational programs and professional meetings.
Remain current with developments in radiation therapy techniques and technology.
