Position Overview

A nationally recognized children’s hospital in Houston is expanding its pediatric pharmacy team and seeking a residency-trained NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist.

This specialized clinical role provides direct pharmacy services to critically ill neonates within a high-acuity NICU. The successful candidate will work with neonatologists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other care-team members to optimize complex medication therapies and improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates.

• Participate actively in multidisciplinary NICU rounds and care planning.

• Review medication regimens for safety, effectiveness and appropriateness.

• Make evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations.

• Support neonatal medication selection, dosing, administration and monitoring.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.

• Current or eligible Texas pharmacist license.

• Strong knowledge of neonatal pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics and medication safety.

• Ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Cardiac Sonography

• Perform non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic examinations using ultrasound, imaging duplex, and related equipment.

• Position patients and operate equipment to obtain reliable, clinically informative diagnostic data.

• Conduct complete echocardiographic evaluations and preliminary measurements.

• Evaluate recordings as they occur and complete the required technical analysis.

Technical and Team Leadership
