🚀 Overview

A rapidly growing automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a Shopfloor IT Operations Specialist to support and optimise production-floor IT systems and infrastructure.

This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of shopfloor technologies across all production shifts.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Shopfloor Systems Support

  • Support and maintain systems including:

    • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

    • SCADA systems

    • Torque / Screw Data Management systems

  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot to ensure system integrity

Hardware & Device Support

  • Configure and troubleshoot:

    • Worker guidance stations

    • Andon boards

    • Printers and label systems

    • Handheld devices

  • Maintain and support shopfloor hardware infrastructure

Service Desk & Support

  • Manage and resolve service tickets (Tier 1 support)

  • Diagnose and resolve production IT issues quickly

  • Provide support across all production shifts

Support Strategy & Operations

  • Develop and implement shopfloor IT support concepts

  • Conduct audits and generate reports for:

    • Compliance

    • System performance

    • Operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:

    • Production teams

    • Engineering

    • IT

  • Ensure seamless integration of IT systems within manufacturing operations

✅ Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in:

    • Manufacturing / industrial IT environments

    • Automotive production (preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field

  • 2+ years of project management experience

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Shopfloor systems (MES, SCADA, etc.)

    • Databases, programming, and communication protocols

  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Automation technologies

    • PLCs and industrial interfaces

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Application Analyst to provide critical IT application support for warehouse operations and supply chain systems. This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) along with other IT applications used across the CSC facility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, SQL, Windows servers, and warehouse systems, with the ability to collaborate with leadership, IT teams, and software vendors to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

This is a hands-on, impactful role where you’ll work directly with users, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure smooth system operations to support business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for WMS and other CSC applications.

  • Analyze, design, test, and implement system programs, enhancements, and upgrades.

  • Coordinate with IT vendors, leadership, and internal IT teams to prioritize and deliver solutions.

  • Install vendor patches, coordinate hot fixes, and support upgrades including testing.

  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of data and application interfaces between multiple systems.

  • Troubleshoot system failures/errors, resolve root causes, and implement long-term fixes.

  • Document and manage issue/task lists, preparing reports for management.

  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours technical support.

  • Act as an advocate for technical standards and best practices across IT systems.

  • Mentor and assist junior analysts in system support and project delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications

✅ 3+ years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) support
✅ Strong knowledge of Windows servers
✅ Knowledge of SQL, with ability to develop/update SQL scripts
✅ Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and project/task management
✅ Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

⭐ Previous ERP system experience
⭐ Experience supporting large, complex IT environments
⭐ Strong knowledge of application interfaces and data flows

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree and 2+ years of experience OR 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • 3+ years of technical experience in system analysis, design, testing, and implementation (preferably in large, corporate environments).

  • Proven ability to support and troubleshoot complex IT problems.

  • Demonstrated growth in leadership ability and mentoring others.
