Overview

A leading government technology contractor is seeking Software Integration Engineers (Mid-Level and Senior-Level) to join a mission-critical Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supporting highly secure government environments.

These positions focus on enterprise-scale monitoring, automation, software integration, operational tooling, and infrastructure reliability. Candidates will work across Linux-based environments while supporting mission operations through automation, observability, resiliency engineering, and performance optimization.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex operational challenges, automating infrastructure, and improving system reliability within highly secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Support mission-critical infrastructure and operational tooling.

  • Improve system reliability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop automation and monitoring solutions.

  • Support enterprise-scale observability initiatives.

Software Integration & Deployment

  • Support software integration activities across mission environments.

  • Configure and troubleshoot customer-facing applications and use cases.

  • Participate in infrastructure deployments and system upgrades.

  • Manage software deployment workflows and integrations.

Linux Administration

  • Administer and support Linux-based environments.

  • Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.

  • Support multiple Linux distributions across operational environments.

Note: Candidates should expect to spend approximately 50% of their time initially performing Linux administration while becoming familiar with supported systems and environments.

Automation & Configuration Management

  • Develop and maintain automation using:

    • Salt

    • Ansible

  • Improve operational efficiency through infrastructure automation.

  • Support configuration management initiatives.

Monitoring & Observability

Build and maintain monitoring solutions utilizing:

  • Nagios

  • Thruk

  • Prometheus

  • Splunk

  • Grafana

Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering and operations teams.

  • Troubleshoot mission-critical issues.

  • Improve reliability, performance, and scalability.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

🎯 Role Overview

We’re seeking a Systems Analyst 3 to play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing enterprise systems across Mainframe, Windows, and UNIX environments. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and support systems while ensuring operational efficiency, security, and scalability.
