Overview

A leading government technology contractor is seeking System Administrators (Mid-Level and Senior-Level) to support mission-critical operations across highly secure environments in Maryland and Utah.

These positions support high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, mission operations sustainment, and complex Linux-based enterprise environments. Candidates may come from Linux System Administration, Platform Engineering, Storage Engineering, or Network Engineering backgrounds, but all team members are expected to perform core Linux administration responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Linux System Administration

  • Install, configure, and administer Linux operating systems.

  • Manage system resources, file systems, and networking services.

  • Perform operating system maintenance, upgrades, and patching.

  • Support software installation, compilation, and configuration.

Operations & Infrastructure Support

  • Monitor mission-critical systems and infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot operating system and application issues.

  • Maintain system reliability, availability, and performance.

  • Participate in operational sustainment activities.

Automation & Configuration Management

  • Develop and maintain Bash scripts.

  • Support infrastructure automation initiatives.

  • Contribute to configuration management processes.

  • Improve operational efficiency through automation.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting

  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams.

  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Participate in system upgrades and maintenance windows.
