Overview

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to support major roadway and infrastructure projects throughout Texas.

This role is ideal for an experienced estimator with a strong background in DOT, roadway, bridge, and heavy civil construction, who can take ownership of complex hard-bid estimates and collaborate closely with operations and project teams to secure large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for heavy civil and roadway projects.

  • Review plans, specifications, quantities, production rates, and subcontractor/vendor pricing.

  • Perform quantity take-offs, material pricing, and cost analysis.

  • Develop estimates for:

    • Roadway construction and reconstruction

    • Concrete and asphalt paving

    • Road widening projects

    • Drainage and underground utilities

    • Earthwork and excavation

    • Bridge and transportation infrastructure projects

Bid Strategy & Risk Analysis

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and client discussions.

  • Support overall bid strategy development.

  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

  • Work closely with operations and leadership teams throughout the pursuit process.

Project Collaboration

  • Coordinate with project managers, operations leaders, and executive teams.

  • Assist with project handoff following successful bid awards.

  • Maintain current market knowledge regarding labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Civil Engineering

    • Construction Engineering Technology

    • Construction Management

    • Related field

Experience

  • 4+ years of heavy civil/highway estimating experience.

  • 4+ years of hard bid estimating experience.

  • Experience estimating projects valued between $5M – $30M+.

  • Experience estimating:

    • Roadways

    • Bridges

    • Concrete structures

    • Excavation and earthwork

    • Drainage systems

    • Asphalt and paving projects

A leading food manufacturing organization is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of its Water Treatment Plant and associated well systems.

This role is responsible for ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality water for plant operations, managing treatment equipment and personnel, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, and serving as a key liaison between Operations, Environmental, and Regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee daily operation of the Water Treatment Plant and associated wells.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality water across the manufacturing complex.

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal environmental regulations.

  • Prepare and submit required reports related to water usage, permitting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Monitor treatment performance and implement operational improvements.

Maintenance & Asset Management

  • Manage preventative maintenance programs for water treatment equipment and wells.

  • Oversee chemical inventory, spare parts, supplies, and operational resources.

  • Coordinate equipment repairs and system upgrades to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise Water Treatment Operators and support staff.

  • Manage hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management activities.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment.

  • Develop team capabilities through ongoing training and coaching.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational data, logs, and system performance metrics.

  • Identify opportunities to improve treatment efficiency and reliability.

  • Communicate operational performance and compliance status to leadership and environmental teams.

  • Support environmental audits and inspections as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 5+ years of Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Treatment experience.

  • Active Water Treatment License with required endorsements.
