An established construction and engineering organization is seeking an M/E Engineer – Electrical Lead to support mission-critical projects.

This role focuses on mechanical and electrical systems leadership, including design review, estimating, commissioning, and construction execution. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

  • Lead and execute mechanical and electrical construction activities

  • Review system options and perform technical analysis and value engineering

  • Develop and manage M/E scopes of work during preconstruction and bidding

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and design documents to identify risks and improvements

Estimating & Preconstruction

  • Develop budgetary M/E estimates from schematic and design documents

  • Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection

  • Provide input on system selection and cost optimization

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Develop sequencing strategies for M/E systems to meet project timelines

  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

  • Contribute to project scheduling and execution planning

Quality Assurance & Inspections

  • Perform job site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards

  • Identify and address constructability and quality issues

  • Support development of quality control programs

Commissioning & Testing

  • Develop and manage:

    • Pre-functional checklists

    • Functional testing procedures

  • Oversee and validate system commissioning and performance testing

  • Ensure all deficiencies are resolved and documented

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals

  • Generate and manage commissioning plans and documentation

  • Develop tools and processes to improve efficiency and delivery quality

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior engineers and team members

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

✅ Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Architectural Engineering

    • Or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in:

    • Construction engineering

    • M/E systems within commercial or industrial projects

  • Strong ability to:

    • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

    • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent technical training/field experience).

  • Expertise in Bid2Win and proficiency with:

    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    • Takeoff software (AgTEK, Bluebeam, Planswift)

    • Scheduling software (Primavera)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate across teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience with HCSS HeavyBid or Hard Dollar EOS.

  • Familiarity with CMAR, CMGC, and Design-Build project delivery methods.

  • Background in mentoring and developing junior estimating staff.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in large-scale concrete projects to take ownership of complex initiatives exceeding $100M. This role provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and with strong financial performance.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee every phase of the project lifecycle—from preconstruction through closeout—while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce a strong safety culture, mentoring teams and retraining staff where needed.

  • Drive preconstruction efforts, including:

    • Quantity takeoff

    • Trade coordination and scope development

    • Bid package creation and review
