Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all hospital-wide quality initiatives, including compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, NM State)

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise-wide strategy and administration of benefit programs including health, vision, dental, disability, life, retirement, time-off, and wellbeing.

  • Oversee relationships and performance management of vendors including brokers, insurers, consultants, and TPAs.

  • Monitor and analyze benefits data to evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvements in cost and value.

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources with deep expertise in employee benefits

  • Proven leadership experience, with a history of managing teams and influencing executive stakeholders

  • Experience in hospital-based healthcare highly preferred (non-healthcare considered if benefits/financial experience is extensive)

  • Deep understanding of ACA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and compliance with federal and state benefit regulations

  • Track record of success in vendor management, including RFPs, renewals, and negotiations

  • Strong financial acumen and experience integrating accounting principles into benefits strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CEBS or CBP

  • Experience using Lawson or similar HRIS systems

  • Mastery of Excel and data analysis tools

  • Familiarity with M&A benefits integration and restructuring
