You’ll play a critical role in supporting plant automation, ensuring system reliability, and delivering production efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead troubleshooting and maintenance of PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and robotics.
Develop and modify Allen-Bradley PLC programs (RSLogix5, RSLogix5000).
Configure and program PowerFlex variable frequency drives.
Maintain Ethernet, DeviceNet, and ControlNet communication networks.
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, ANSI, and ISA standards.
Support plant safety, food safety, and quality initiatives through controls engineering.
Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for effective troubleshooting.
Train maintenance and production teams on controls systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally to implement new systems and improve existing operations.
Provide support for plant or line start-ups; experience with SCADA preferred.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in automation/controls within a production facility
Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley MicroLogix and ControlLogix
Strong working knowledge of Fanuc, Wonderware, and related platforms
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience managing or mentoring small technical teams
Preferred:
Background in food production or manufacturing
SCADA experience highly desired
Strong understanding of safety, food safety, and maintenance standards
