The Opportunity

Working under the guidance of experienced imaging leadership, you will play a vital role in supporting the department’s mission through the delivery of high-quality diagnostic breast ultrasound services.

You will:

  • Perform a broad range of breast ultrasound examinations with precision and efficiency

  • Generate high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists and physicians

  • Assist physicians during sterile invasive procedures, including biopsies and aspirations

  • Ensure exceptional patient care, safety, comfort, and communication throughout all examinations

  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary imaging and clinical teams

  • Operate advanced imaging systems including PACS, RIS, Epic, and ultrasound platforms

  • Support departmental excellence through adherence to safety, infection control, and operational protocols

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $99,000 – $124,000

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 available

  • Schedule: Full-Time

  • Union Position: Compensation is aligned to experience and union pay scale

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent two-year college program) or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification required (OB, AB, or RVT)

  • Accreditation must be obtained prior to hire

  • Minimum of one year of experience within a Breast Imaging setting

  • Ability to work fully on-site

Night Shift Sonographer | Burlington, VT | $79K–$125K + $15K Signing Bonus

Position: Sonographer – Nights

About the Role

A leading academic medical center is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join their dedicated Ultrasound Team on the night shift. This role provides the opportunity to work in a Level I trauma center with a collaborative, patient-first team culture and access to excellent benefits and professional development. This is a highly technical position that requires tailored ultrasound imaging for a wide range of diagnostic needs, emphasizing both independent execution and teamwork under physician guidance.

Schedule

  • Sunday: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • Note: On-call not currently required but may be introduced in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex ultrasound imaging procedures using high-frequency sound waves.

  • Customize exams based on the patient’s anatomy and clinical requirements.

  • Independently carry out diagnostic imaging and assist physicians in obtaining required views.

  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other technologists to support patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or allied health program.

  • ARDMS certification with at least one credential (ABD or OB/GYN).

  • Minimum of 2 years of paid scanning experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Level I trauma center.

  • Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
