The Opportunity

As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality breast imaging services that directly support early detection, diagnosis, and patient outcomes.

Working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Perform high-quality mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols

  • Operate and maintain advanced mammography and radiologic imaging equipment

  • Deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring comfort, safety, and professionalism

  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns

  • Support and mentor junior technologists and students where appropriate

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and imaging quality standards

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $97,760 – $116,480

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of Mammography experience with demonstrated diagnostic proficiency

  • MSRT/ARRT (Mammography) certification required by hire date

  • Valid Massachusetts State Radiology/Mammography License required by hire date

  • Completion of a two-year accredited Radiologic Technology training program

  • Ability to work fully on-site

Preferred Background:

  • Advanced knowledge of mammography procedures and imaging equipment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff and students

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent two-year college program) or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification required (OB, AB, or RVT)

  • Accreditation must be obtained prior to hire

  • Minimum of one year of experience within a Breast Imaging setting

  • Ability to work fully on-site

Minimum Qualifications

·         Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions.

Principal Accountabilities

 

·         Performs mammography radiographic exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images.

·         Enters and monitors patient data.

·         Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.

·         Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.

·         Takes emergency call within the department.   

·         Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

·         Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

·         Other duties as assigned.
