Technical Customer Support

  • Provide technical recommendations, troubleshooting, and application support for customers

  • Conduct onsite technical visits including:

    • Product demonstrations

    • Audits

    • Process troubleshooting

    • Equipment optimization

  • Support complaint investigations and root cause analysis

  • Document activities and findings within CRM and laboratory systems

Flexible Packaging & Coating Expertise

  • Support laminating adhesives and coatings applications

  • Provide expertise in:

    • Coating technologies

    • Converting processes

    • Flexible packaging applications

    • Mechanical/application equipment optimization

  • Assist customers in improving adhesive-related manufacturing processes

Project Management & Innovation

  • Lead customer-focused technical projects from concept through implementation

  • Scope and justify customer projects and technical initiatives

  • Support innovation pipeline initiatives and new technology adoption

Training & Relationship Management

Laboratory & Technical Analysis

  • Coordinate and prioritize laboratory testing activities

About the Role:

Weโ€™re seeking a results-driven Process Engineer III to lead critical process improvements, optimize manufacturing controls, and manage capital projects in a fast-paced, technically advanced production environment. This individual will have a strong plastics and injection molding background and be instrumental in driving efficiencies and quality improvements at our Winchester, KY or Orlando, FL facilities.

Youโ€™ll be a key technical partner for operations leadership, engineering teams, and maintenance, helping shape how we innovate and scale sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of manufacturing control strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

  • Drive capital project development: from writing CARs (Capital Authorization Requests) to project management through execution.

  • Apply Six Sigma, Lean, and TQM tools to analyze and enhance production processes, reduce scrap, and improve product quality.

  • Conduct in-depth process audits, develop corrective action plans, and lead implementation.

  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams across both sites.

  • Act as a technical trainer and mentor for line operators and technicians on new processes and standards.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).

  • Plastics industry experience is required.

  • Injection molding experience is essential.

  • Proven success managing and executing capital projects.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with a variety of production equipment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in extrusion systems and associated equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement new processes and train personnel.

Overview

The Tooling Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures for tooling the organizationโ€™s products. This role focuses on process improvement, tooling design, and troubleshooting to enhance production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including process development and documentation.

  • Manage tooling projects from design to installation, debugging, and implementation.

  • Troubleshoot and develop stamping processes and provide specifications for forming and stamping equipment.

  • Design and develop manufacturing tooling, dies, and fixtures; coordinate with production teams for successful implementation.

  • Provide engineering support to various departments and collaborate on process optimization.

  • Manage tooling quotes, sourcing, and supplier coordination.

  • Work closely with R&D to ensure manufacturability of components before release.

  • Investigate and resolve tooling, processing, and assembly issues, initiating corrective actions when necessary.

  • Participate in problem resolution teams and production pilot activities.

  • Assist with ECN (Engineering Change Notice) implementations.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Must-have:

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or a related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience.

    • Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Pro E, and Solid Works.

    • Journeyman Tool and Die experience.

    • Metal stamping experience as it relates to tooling.

    • Die Design experience.

  • Knowledge of stamping and molding applications is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and program management skills.

  • Proficiency in engineering design principles and tooling development.

  • Effective communication skills.
