About the Role:

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Actuarial Analytics to drive high-value pricing, forecasting, and reserving efforts. This remote opportunity allows you to lead from anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or California, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to critical healthcare and insurance strategies.
You will play a vital role in leading actuarial functions and influencing strategic decisions, working with various business units to improve financial performance and regulatory compliance.
What Youβll Be Doing:
Lead the actuarial team in delivering pricing, rate setting, forecasting, and financial planning for Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business.
Oversee and review ACA pricing, Medicare Advantage bids, and rate filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Pharmacy, Underwriting, and Regulatory departments.
Present complex financial analyses and risk assessments to senior leadership in clear, actionable ways.
Coach, mentor, and develop a team of actuarial professionals, fostering both technical and leadership growth.
Stay current with healthcare trends, regulatory changes, and actuarial methodologies.
Leverage SQL or similar programming tools for data extraction, modeling, and analysis.
Apply strong project management skills to oversee data and financial analysis initiatives.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or a related field
5+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, including experience in Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development
Experience with writing queries in SQL or another programming language
Proven ability to manage data-related and financial analysis projects
Strong collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications:
Masterβs degree in a relevant field
FSA or ASA designation from the Society of Actuaries
Experience certifying Commercial rate filings and Medicare Advantage bids
Exposure to a broad range of revenue methodologies, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
Prior experience managing or mentoring actuarial staff
