Position Overview
A long-established, farmer-owned dairy cooperative is seeking a strategic National Foodservice Sales Director to lead foodservice growth across national, regional and distributor accounts.
This role manages direct and broker-led sales activity across a Maine-to-Florida territory, with accountability for revenue, margin, volume, market share and customer growth. Candidates must be based in New England or New York.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and execute national foodservice sales strategies and annual operating plans.
β’ Identify customer trends, market opportunities and competitive threats.
β’ Develop business plans, volume forecasts and account-specific strategies.
β’ Lead relationships with national and regional distributors, operators and chain accounts.
β’ Negotiate contracts, pricing, promotional programs and growth initiatives.
β’ Conduct regular customer and distributor business reviews.
β’ Select, manage and evaluate broker partners.
β’ Establish broker objectives, territories, expectations and accountability.
β’ Build senior relationships with strategic customers and channel partners.
β’ Analyze revenue, volume, margin, pricing and market-share performance.
β’ Understand dairy commodity markets and translate changes into commercial decisions.
β’ Work with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Product teams.
β’ Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline visibility and account plans.
β’ Travel throughout the East Coast territory approximately 40%.
Required Qualifications
β’ Extensive foodservice sales and national-account experience.
β’ Sales leadership within dairy, food manufacturing or a closely related sector.
β’ Strong distributor, operator, chain-account and broker relationships.
β’ Demonstrated success delivering profitable revenue and market-share growth.
β’ Strong contract, pricing and commercial-negotiation skills.
β’ Knowledge of dairy commodities and foodservice market dynamics.
β’ Strong forecasting, analytics and business-planning capability.
β’ Excellent executive communication and relationship-management skills.
β’ Residence in New England or New York.
β’ Ability to travel approximately 40%.
β’ Current U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

β’ Direct dairy-category sales experience.
β’ Experience with major national and regional foodservice distributors.
β’ Broker-network design and performance-management experience.
β’ Experience working for a cooperative or farmer-owned organization.
