We’re looking for someone who is intelligent, curious and loves solving problems. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s platform, an on-premises cloud that integrates hardware, virtualization software, and management software into a single platform.
Research, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving network, compute and storage hardware as well as the company’s internal software.
Document all technical inquiries and develop content for knowledge base.
Support key internal initiatives involving pre-release testing, validation and documentation.
Provide highly-technical and end-user support to clients via telephone, chat and ticketing system.
Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams (software development, quality assurance, product management, etc.).
Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients and co-workers.
Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL/CentOS
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, and 2016)
In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and address management, firewalling and load balancers
Strong conceptual knowledge of public and private clouds
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and Hyper-V
Hands-on experience with bash scripting
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field
CCNA and RHCSA certifications are a plus
CCNP and RHCE certifications are a significant plus
