Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software and Data Integration Engineer to modernize front-end applications, integrate mission-critical software and improve system reliability within a classified Department of Defense environment.

This hands-on technical leadership role requires modern web development, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, Linux, CI/CD and secure software-engineering experience. Formal people-management experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design modern, responsive front-end applications using current web frameworks.

• Modernize and integrate mission-critical applications.

• Develop and integrate back-end services, APIs, databases and infrastructure components.

• Apply code reviews, automated testing, source control and secure coding practices.

• Deploy and maintain scalable, resilient and secure applications in AWS.

• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Work within Linux-based development and operational environments.

• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

• Integrate data across applications, services and mission systems.

• Troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure and interface problems.

• Collaborate with customers, developers, infrastructure teams and mission stakeholders.

• Provide technical direction while remaining actively involved in implementation.

• Maintain clear design, configuration and support documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to maintain it.

• U.S. citizenship.

• Significant software-development and integration experience.

• Strong JavaScript and modern front-end development experience.

• Strong AWS application or cloud-platform experience.

• Experience with APIs, databases and data-integration patterns.

• Experience with Docker, Linux and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of scalable, secure and reliable application design.

• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder-communication skills.

• Ability to work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base.

Preferred Qualifications

• Kubernetes, infrastructure automation and DevSecOps experience.

• Experience with classified DoD or national-security systems.

• Full-stack development and enterprise integration experience.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted software-development tools.
