What You'll Be Doing
Commercial Strategy & Business Leadership
Develop and execute the North American sales strategy for a major industrial business segment
Align commercial plans with broader business objectives and growth initiatives
Drive profitable revenue growth while optimizing margin and cash performance
Continuously evaluate market conditions, customer demand, and capacity dynamics to refine strategy
Provide accurate forecasting, performance reporting, and market intelligence
Sales Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
Create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer engagement, and results
Establish clear performance objectives and development plans
Drive sales effectiveness and operational excellence across the organization
Promote employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and professional growth
Strategic Account Management
Build executive-level relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
Develop deep customer intimacy and understanding of customer decision-making processes
Identify opportunities to increase market share, profitability, and long-term customer value
Personally manage select strategic customer accounts
Drive adoption of value-added products, services, and commercial solutions
Contract Negotiation & Commercial Agreements
Lead complex commercial negotiations with major customers
Partner with internal legal and leadership teams to structure agreements that protect and grow the business
Manage contractual relationships from negotiation through execution
Ensure commercial agreements align with financial and strategic objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Manufacturing, Operations, Technical teams, and Executive Leadership
Support product development and commercialization efforts
Align customer requirements with operational capabilities
Partner with stakeholders across North America and global business units to achieve shared objectives
Financial & Business Performance Management
Monitor business performance against revenue, profitability, and growth targets
Develop sales forecasts and market projections
Analyze commercial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Manage team budgets and resources effectively

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of sales experience within metals manufacturing or metals distribution
Minimum 5 years of commercial leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities
Proven experience leading customer-facing sales organizations
Strong track record of driving revenue growth and profitability
Experience developing and executing commercial strategies
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills

Master's Degree
MBA
7+ years of commercial leadership experience
Deep financial and business acumen
Experience managing large strategic accounts
