What You'll Be Doing
Advanced Electrical Design & Development
Architect, design, develop, and integrate complex electronic hardware systems and circuit card assemblies
Design analog, digital, power, and FPGA-based electronic solutions
Develop high-performance electronic circuitry for advanced sensing and monitoring applications
Create schematic designs, PCB layouts, and supporting engineering documentation
Analyze electrical requirements and determine design feasibility within cost and schedule constraints
Support system integration activities and subsystem development efforts
FPGA & Embedded Hardware Development
Develop and support FPGA-based designs
Work with modern FPGA development environments and tools
Evaluate component performance and sustainability requirements
Support hardware optimization and performance improvements
Testing, Qualification & Integration
Lead hardware integration, verification, qualification, and validation activities
Develop test procedures and technical documentation
Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and hardware issues
Support customer installations and field deployments
Participate in system qualification and acceptance testing
Technical Leadership & Program Execution
Provide technical leadership across engineering projects
Support proposal development, project planning, and cost estimation activities
Contribute to engineering reviews, design reviews, and technical presentations
Collaborate with program teams to ensure successful execution of technical objectives
For senior-level candidates, opportunities exist to lead engineering efforts and support Earned Value Management (EVMS) activities
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Level IV
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
6+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
OR
Master's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
OR
10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
Level V
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
9+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
OR
Master's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
OR
13+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
Required Technical Experience
Candidates should possess strong experience in several of the following areas:
Analog circuit design
Digital circuit design
Power electronics design
FPGA development and design
Circuit card assembly (CCA) development
Electronic subsystem integration
Hardware qualification and testing
Schematic capture and PCB design
System troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Experience With Tools Such As:
LTSpice
Cadence / Allegro PCB Designer
Mentor Graphics
Xilinx Vivado
VHDL
Verilog
Preferred Qualifications
Design team leadership experience
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
Control Account Management (CAM) experience
Technical proposal development
Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation
