🧭 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Regional Service Operations: Direct and coordinate field service activities across five states, ensuring timely and professional support for customers in food, medical, and consumer industries.

  • Drive Customer Satisfaction: Implement strategies that elevate service quality, responsiveness, and reliability to meet evolving client expectations.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of 3–20 Field Service Technicians.

    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development.

    • Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

  • Performance Management: Maintain technician utilization above 90%, ensuring service call efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Manage regional budgets and expense targets.

    • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned by executive leadership.

    • Continuously improve service delivery processes, quality, and compliance.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Ensure field teams are trained in safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality protocols.

    • Provide technical support, guidance, and hands-on leadership in complex service scenarios.

  • Compliance & Safety:

    • Uphold and enforce corporate safety, compliance, and quality policies.

    • Ensure that all technicians adhere to regulatory and company standards.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends.

    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service performance.

🧠 Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive field service leadership experience, preferably within complex mechanical, packaging, automation, or capital equipment industries.

  • Background as a Field Service Technician or Engineer strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage distributed service teams and drive operational results.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field preferred.

  • Equivalent professional experience considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of service performance metrics and data-driven decision-making.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Demonstrated success in developing and mentoring teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for occasional international travel.

Principal Automation Engineer / Senior Engineer, Automation

Core responsibilities include working with PLCs, AVEVA system platforms, HMIs, AB panel views, and a variety of automation communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP. Key aspects include:

  • Applying knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and AVEVA System platforms for process integrations, including MES machine integration.

  • Alternatively, 6 years with a relevant Associate degree or 8 years with a HS diploma/GED.

Senior Engineer, Automation:

  • HS diploma/GED and 7+ years of relevant experience, or 2 years of experience with a relevant Bachelor’s degree.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting automation communication protocols, electrical prints, and integration principles.

  • Familiarity with working in a cGMP or similar regulated environment.

  • Must be 18 years or older, authorized to work in the U.S., and willing to undergo pre-employment screenings.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Principal Engineer: Base salary typically between $95,000 and $130,000.

  • Senior Engineer: Base salary typically between $75,000 and $95,000.
