Key Responsibilities
Psychological Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct comprehensive psychological screenings and assessments.
Review available records and perform clinical interviews.
Evaluate psychological functioning and identify treatment needs.
Document findings and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
Treatment Planning & Intervention
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based psychological interventions and counseling.
Monitor treatment progress and adjust plans as needed.
Support individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
Crisis Management & Behavioral Support
Conduct mental health evaluations for individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
Provide counseling and intervention services during crisis situations.
Assist in de-escalation and confrontation avoidance strategies.
Monitor mental health status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Partner closely with:
Psychiatrists
Physicians
Nurses
Social Workers
Mental Health Professionals
Educational Staff
Chaplain Services
Security Personnel
Participate in treatment planning discussions and case reviews.
Ensure continuity of care and integrated treatment delivery.
Clinical Monitoring
Conduct regular rounds in restricted or specialized housing environments.
Assess adjustment, coping, and ongoing treatment needs.
Monitor behavioral and psychological changes.
Ensure appropriate follow-up care and intervention.
Required Qualifications
✔ Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university
✔ Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the State of California
✔ Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychology experience
✔ At least 1 year of experience in a comparable position
✔ Must be at least 21 years of age
✔ Valid Driver's License
✔ Strong knowledge of:
Psychological assessment
Clinical interviewing
Individual counseling
Treatment planning
Crisis intervention
Behavioral health management
Preferred Qualifications
