🚀 Position Overview

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR IT Applications Manager to lead and oversee its HR and Workforce Management technology platforms, with primary responsibility for Oracle HCM Cloud and Kronos (UKG) workforce management solutions.

This role serves as the key liaison between HR, Operations, and IT leadership, ensuring HR systems effectively support business objectives through strong governance, system optimization, project leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and hands-on knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud and workforce management technologies.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

HR Technology Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for:

    • Oracle HCM Cloud

    • Core HR

    • Recruiting

    • Talent Management

    • Benefits

  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to HR and Operations leadership.

  • Ensure systems align with organizational goals and business requirements.

Oracle HCM Cloud Administration & Optimization

  • Lead support, configuration, and optimization of Oracle HCM Cloud applications.

  • Drive adoption and enhancement of the Oracle Redwood User Experience (UX).

  • Recommend and implement system improvements and best practices.

  • Ensure reliable operation of HR technology platforms.

Workforce Management Systems

  • Lead support and optimization of Kronos (UKG) workforce management solutions, including:

    • Timekeeping

    • Scheduling

    • Labor Tracking

  • Ensure workforce systems effectively support operational requirements.

Integration & Systems Management

  • Oversee integrations between:

    • Oracle HCM Cloud

    • Kronos/UKG

    • Payroll Systems

    • Third-Party Applications

    • Downstream Enterprise Systems

  • Manage application performance, stability, and system enhancements.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Supervise and mentor IT application support staff.

  • Lead and develop HR systems support teams.

  • Manage relationships with:

    • Software Vendors

    • Service Providers

    • Technology Partners

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.

Project & Governance Leadership

  • Lead technology projects aligned with SDLC and project management best practices.

  • Contribute to enterprise HR technology strategy and governance.

  • Ensure project execution aligns with organizational objectives and timelines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Computer Science

    • Information Systems

    • Related Technical Field

Experience

  • 5+ years managing technology teams

  • 5+ years supporting enterprise business applications

  • 3+ years of direct people management experience

  • Hands-on experience supporting Kronos (UKG) workforce management solutions

  • Experience leading enterprise application support initiatives

REQUIRED

  • Strong experience in Workday’s Integrations – STUDIO, PECI, CC, DT, API, Calculated Fields..etc and Reports – ADVANCED, MATRIX, TREND. Etc

  • Good knowledge of Workday Core HCM , Compensation & Security

  • Functional exposure (e.g. solution consultant, business analyst) to designing end-to-end complex automations between multiple systems involving Workday

  • Solid technical foundation (even with limited hands-on experience) in enterprise SaaS / PaaS integration, automation, and API management platforms such as Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, ServiceNow Integration Hub etc..

  • Knowledge of SOAP, RESTful API’s and data structures (JSON), XML / XSLT

  • Exposure with Cloud business applications either in functional areas like Workday, ServiceNow, SAP HANA, Microsoft Sharepoint etc

  • Solid ITIL knowledge on service operations and service management. Experience with different project management approaches (e.g. waterfall, agile)
