A leading aerospace and defense organization is seeking a Director of Network & Unified Communications to lead the strategy, modernization, delivery, and operational excellence of its global connectivity and collaboration ecosystem.

This executive leadership role will oversee enterprise-wide networking, telecommunications, unified communications, cloud connectivity, and network security initiatives. The successful candidate will drive modernization efforts while ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across a complex global technology environment.

Enterprise Network Strategy & Modernization

  • Develop and execute the enterprise Network & Unified Communications strategy aligned with broader technology transformation initiatives.

  • Lead modernization programs including:

    • SD-WAN

    • Network Access Control (NAC)

    • Zero Trust network segmentation

    • Wireless infrastructure redesign

    • VoIP and Unified Communications modernization

    • Network edge optimization

  • Develop long-term roadmaps for:

    • Reliability

    • Capacity planning

    • Lifecycle management

    • Secure workload placement across cloud, data center, and edge environments

Global Network & Telecom Operations

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and operation of:

    • LAN/WAN infrastructure

    • Telecommunications services

    • Wireless networks

    • Enterprise connectivity platforms

  • Ensure:

    • High availability

    • Operational resilience

    • Security compliance

    • Service reliability

  • Drive improvements in:

    • Monitoring

    • Observability

Unified Communications Leadership

  • Own enterprise Unified Communications strategy including:

    • VoIP

    • SIP

  • Lead modernization of legacy telecom environments and migration to scalable, cloud-aligned collaboration platforms.

Cybersecurity & Governance

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, including evaluation and integration.

  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong technical expertise across cloud and on-premise environments, architectures, and APIs.

  • Proven ability to drive enterprise security programs and product strategies at scale.

  • Sound judgment in analyzing cyber risks and developing risk-appropriate solutions.

Education Requirements

Required:
