Overview
An industry-leading defense and aerospace organization is seeking a Senior Specialist, Program Finance to support complex government programs through financial planning, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and program financial reporting.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong defense industry background and expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), program controls, forecasting, and government contract financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Program Financial Management
Manage financial performance across multiple government programs.
Develop and maintain program forecasts, budgets, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and financial plans.
Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and variance analysis.
Support profitability, revenue, and cash flow planning activities.
Earned Value Management (EVM)
Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data integrity.
Prepare and deliver Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMRs).
Develop and review variance analyses with Control Account Managers (CAMs).
Create and maintain baseline budgets for performance measurement.
Ensure compliance with EVM standards and reporting requirements.
Systems & Reporting
Create, maintain, and update projects within SAP.
Utilize COBRA and SAP to support program controls and reporting.
Develop ad hoc financial analyses for leadership.
Support internal and external program audits.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor junior finance team members.
Collaborate with program managers, contracts, operations, and finance leadership.
Support proposal development, pricing activities, and cost estimating efforts.
Drive process improvements and financial reporting efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
Finance
Accounting
Business
Engineering
Science
Related analytical discipline
Experience
6+ years of relevant program finance experience.
Defense industry program finance experience.
Strong Earned Value Management (EVM) background.
Experience with:
COBRA
SAP
Microsoft Excel
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
