An established leader in the power generation and energy infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead large-scale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power projects across the United States.

🧭 Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead and oversee large-scale power generation projects, including combined and simple cycle plants.
Manage all phases of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) lifecycle — from design through commissioning and closeout.
Drive project delivery to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams of 35–50 internal staff and 30–40 external vendors.
Foster collaboration across engineering, project controls, commercial, and construction disciplines.
Serve as the primary liaison for executive stakeholders, providing clear communication, leadership, and motivation throughout project execution.
Strategic & Technical Execution
Ensure project alignment with organizational goals, performance metrics, and regulatory standards.
Monitor and manage project scope, critical paths, and risk assessments.
Drive continuous improvement, leveraging data, analytics, and lessons learned for future efficiency.
🎓 Qualifications
Required
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related).
✅ Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, project management, project controls, or operations within the Oil & Gas or Power Generation sector.
✅ Demonstrated experience leading Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) projects — this is mandatory.
✅ Proven ability to deliver large, complex, multidisciplinary projects (>1 GW) successfully.
✅ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
✅ Ability to operate effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments, adapting to changes in design, scope, or execution.
Preferred
⭐ PMP Certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
⭐ Familiarity with project management tools such as Oracle Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Power BI.
⭐ Experience with technical engineering and project controls in large-scale energy projects.
⭐ Broad industry network and understanding of emerging energy technologies.
