Position Overview

A global industrial-engineering organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Consulting Engineer to provide recognized technical leadership across complex gas-turbine design, development, manufacturing and product-validation programs.

This is a senior individual-contributor role. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, own critical design decisions and act as a trusted technical adviser to engineering and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex gas-turbine component and system design programs from concept through production.

• Own design integrity, technical acceptance, manufacturability and validation.

• Resolve complex design, manufacturing and operational challenges.

• Translate functional requirements into detailed engineering documentation.

• Develop scopes addressing business challenges, risks and product opportunities.

• Establish procedures improving reliability, efficiency, cost and quality.

• Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps.

• Define product-testing strategies, methods, tools and validation requirements.

• Oversee testing across multiple products in high-volume manufacturing.

• Establish engineering, development and testing standards.

• Plan, estimate, staff and monitor significant technical projects.

• Apply root-cause, statistical, quantitative and predictive-analysis methods.

• Mentor senior technical professionals and influence cross-functional decisions.

• Present complex technical recommendations to customers and senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or a related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.

• Extensive gas-turbine design, development and manufacturing experience.

• Recognized technical depth in turbine components, systems and validation.

• Experience leading complex products from development through manufacturing and testing.

• Strong project leadership across scope, cost, schedule, staffing and risk.

• Exceptional analytical and root-cause-analysis capability.

• Ability to influence technical and business decisions through expertise.

• Strong written, verbal and technical-presentation skills.

• Current U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enterprise technology-roadmap development.

• High-volume manufacturing and production-test experience.

• Product-development and testing standards experience.

• Strong statistical, quantitative and predictive-analysis capability.

• Business-intelligence and performance-metrics experience.

• Coaching and mentoring of other senior technical professionals.
