Location: Palm Bay, Florida

Schedule: 9/80 – every other Friday off

Position Overview

A leading aerospace and defense organization is seeking a Technical Trainer / Mission Operations Trainer to configure, operate and teach others how to use complex communications and mission systems.

This is not a classroom-only role. The successful candidate will work directly with hardware and software, configure test and training environments, troubleshoot technical problems, support integration and translate that expertise into effective classroom and hands-on instruction.

Mandatory Clearance

Candidates must hold and actively use an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and be able to maintain it throughout employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and configure complex communications and mission systems.

• Install software and integrate new and existing hardware packages.

• Support system upgrades, deployments and capability enhancements.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and integration issues.

• Reproduce faults, isolate causes and coordinate corrective actions.

• Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on technical training.

• Adapt instruction to different audiences and levels of technical knowledge.

• Create instructor guides, student materials, presentations, exercises, SOPs, job aids and assessments.

• Keep training materials aligned with approved system configurations.

• Operate and maintain development, test and training environments.

• Perform pre-course readiness checks and resolve issues before training.

• Support verification, validation and system-acceptance activity.

• Work with engineering and design teams to understand system changes.

• Document configurations, issues, solutions and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

• Active and currently used TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain the required clearance.

• Experience configuring, operating or maintaining complex mission or communications systems.

• Technical training, military instruction or operational-training experience.

• Strong hardware, software, networking and troubleshooting knowledge.

• Experience developing technical procedures and training materials.

• Confident classroom presentation and hands-on instruction skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Palm Bay and travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military, intelligence-community or Department of Defense training experience.

• Experience with formal instructional-system design.

• System integration, test, verification or validation experience.

• Familiarity with classified-development and training environments.
