What You’ll Do:
Multi-Craft Maintenance: Take on a blend of electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks. This includes troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, sensors, 3-phase power, and repairing or installing manufacturing equipment.
Hands-On Repairs: Work with various systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical, ensuring machinery operates at peak performance. Your expertise will be critical in diagnosing and repairing system failures using root cause analysis.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance to keep equipment in top condition and minimize downtime. Support production setups and contribute to the smooth running of manufacturing processes.
Training & Mentorship: Help train and develop new maintenance technicians, sharing your knowledge and fostering a collaborative, efficient team environment.
Fabrication & Design Support: Create replacement parts using machining equipment (Lathes, Mills, etc.) and assist with the design of new equipment or systems.
Continuous Improvement: Apply your skills in lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement to optimize systems and drive efficiency across the plant.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, and maintenance repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems (PLCs, sensors, VFDs) and mechanical systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, production machinery). Familiarity with AC/DC motors, wiring, and schematics is key.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and apply root cause analysis to diagnose and repair complex issues quickly and efficiently.
Safety First: A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, with some weekend and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
A two or four-year degree in a related field.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement techniques.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
