🚀 About the Role
We’re seeking an Industrial Engineer to take a lead role in process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives within a protein processing facility. This mid-level position will drive efficiency improvement projects, implement Six Sigma methodologies, and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
This is a hands-on, impactful role where you’ll collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to deliver measurable improvements in yield, capacity, and overall performance.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Lead efficiency improvement projects, analyzing production workflows and eliminating bottlenecks.
Conduct root cause analysis and design process modifications for better productivity.
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage cost-reduction and capacity layout projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve yields.
Develop and maintain labor standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and reporting on assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Enforce safety, quality, and ergonomic standards in all projects.
🎯 Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred).
2+ years’ experience working in a poultry or protein processing plant in an industrial engineering role.
3–5 years of relevant process engineering/continuous improvement experience.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization tools.
Strong AutoCAD skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and re-design existing systems in a manufacturing environment.
✅ Preferred Experience
Direct experience in protein manufacturing, with poultry industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with ergonomics, safety standards, and continuous improvement in production settings.
Background in both office and plant floor environments (processing, hatchery, feed mill, wastewater facility).
