Project Overview:
Our client is a multi-channel distribution platform that provides access to trade books, textbooks, magazines, newspapers, and other content. It operates as a content, commerce, and technology company.
Their main business is the sale of trade books, mass-market paperbacks, children's books, bargain books, magazines, gift, cafe products and services, music, and movies direct to customers. As of January 2009, the company operated 778 bookstores and a website.
They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to develop efficient and maintainable enterprise applications. This role is responsible for critical, highvolume payment processing and order fulfilment applications.
Must haves
• Proficient in the Node.js and JavaScript, REST APIs, MVC Architecture, and OOP principles
• Architecture/system design of micro services
• Experience with AWS: RDS, API Gateway and Lambda functions
• Experience with relational databases PostgreSQL/MySQL,
• Strong agile mindset with the willingness to question the why and continuously improve.
• Capacity to work remotely and communicate effectively in a distributed environment
• Experience building and supporting production quality software
• Working in Agile environment
Expected length of the engagement:
• 12 months (Extension)
Location/Overlap requirements:
• Fully Remote – Worldwide with EST Overlap
Client Budget: $5000 - $6000 per month
