Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Undersea Systems

Responsibilities:

 

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, coupled with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6 years of experience. The role demands a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance within a reasonable timeframe, along with U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the work.

 

Qualifications:

 

As an electrical engineer specializing in Undersea Systems, you will collaborate within a cross-functional team to develop cutting-edge Undersea Communication systems. Preferred skills and experiences include:

 

-          Proficiency in power systems/module design, spanning various power topologies from low to high power converters.

-          Strong grasp of power system architecture, grounding, and transmission line effects.

-          Expertise in magnetics design and isolated switching converters.

-          Sound understanding and application of electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.

-          Extensive experience in analog design, instrumentation, and feedback/control systems.

-          Familiarity with EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC/IDE/VDE, etc.).

-          Ability to troubleshoot effectively using specialized laboratory equipment like spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.

-          Proven track record in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems.

-          Stay updated with technology trends, with a background in research and development (R&D).

-          Proficient in leading design teams, fostering innovation, and facilitating effective communication.

-          Committed to ongoing professional development and willing to travel as required.
