We are working with a growing software company based in the heart of South East London. If you have managed product driven development teams through change transformation and the adoption of new software applications we would like to hear from you.
You will be working for an innovative organisation and established market disrupter with the aspiration to become a global leader in the provision of software solutions for the expanding health and fitness sector. You will be responsible for leading and growing a small team of developers who will need to service the different needs of a rapidly growing client base.
You will be expected to deal directly with staff who work at all levels for our clients and prospective clients. You will need to be able to understand their business requirements and then to lead the development of software solutions which meet their perfect meet their needs in ways which are innovative, practical and elegant while at the same time maintaining the integrity and style of our applications.
As well as leading an in-house team of developers, you will be responsible for a managing the relationship with a number of external third-party providers which will require you to lead the maintenance and further development of complex interfaces to deliver a seamless solution to the end user.
Head up the company software development function
Ensure effective delivery of software solutions to agreed time and budget - meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations
Definition of technical standards for software development and presentational standards for the user interface as well as overseeing that these standards are adhered to by the development team
Collaboration with members of the executive team to design and oversee projects that will improve efficiency of existing applications, the development process itself and the overall efficiency of the organisation
Ownership and input into identifying and implementing the appropriate tooling
Protection of the brand and reputation of company products
Strong leadership and focus on the definition and introduction of up-to-date software engineering methods across the organisation
Leadership experience in managing team within a software
Flexibility and ability to develop new application methodologies
Pragmatic approach to solution delivery with strong problem solving skills
Demonstrate understanding of other technologies
